Easter in Cochin - Part Two (Easter Sunday on the Backwaters)
We spent Easter Sunday on the Backwaters, cruising the canals & lake. It was quite a relaxing way to spend the day.

I couldn't figure out why I kept seeing all these old Socialist Hammer & Sickle symbols until Tania explained that the state of Kerala is a Communist state

Happy 91st Birthday RAAF
The house next door
We found out some time ago that the house next door was going to be demolished. It's a common thing in this suburb: free standing houses are demolished & then four-storey apartments go up.
We thought it might be another year before the construction started bur no.....they demolished the house on Tuesday:
Before
After
Stand by for more photos over the coming year as the apartment goes up (esp. relating the Indian concept of OH&S)

Tania's Birthday - Dinner at Meegu
It was Tania's birthday on 14th March. We went out to this lovely Japanese restaurant called "Meegu" at the "Leela Palace" hotel. The food was fabulous (don't ask how much):

The decor of the restaurant
Fried Calamari (very tasty)
Vege Tempura (very nice)
Preparing the Wagyu
The sushi platter (very tasty)
The Creme Brulee with Green Tea ice cream (yum !!)
The Chocolate Pudding (very yummy !!)
