The word
Gymkana is an Indian term for “meeting place”. On Friday night, Tania and I were
at a function at the Delhi Gymkana Club, saying goodbye to friends finishing
their posting in India.
The
club is one of the most exclusive in New Delhi with a waiting list stretching
to 30 yrs !!
The
club has a sense of British Raj about it – no wonder as this is where the Brits
escaped to after a hard day of ruling India.

We
were very honoured to have been invited to this function. The women used it as
an excuse to dress up in their saris and didn’t they look good in them.
