Here's one use for chutney you never thought of

This blog is about our adventures in India, culinary or otherwise.

Here’s a culinary story that I haven't been able to figure out how to write up - so here goes.

Basically it involves guards at an embassy, squirrels and chutney.

You know where I’m going with this ??

Basically – there were certain guards at a certain embassy who were catching the squirrels, killing them, skinning them and then drying them out in the sun (it’s been over 40 degrees everyday for more than a month now). The end result  was a sort of “squirrel jerky”.

They were then eating them and dipping them into a chutney for added flavour.

A certain security manager had to have a chat with the certain guards and advise them that eating squirrel jerky was not a good look (or words to that effect).

I could write another post on the conversation.

“But we’re only having them with chutney !!” I believe was the response.

I’ll let you picture this story and leave it at that.
