A season of farewells – Part 2

Our next farewell was that of our favourite DFAT SAO, Sri.

We threw a surprise farewell for him on Tuesday night which saw quite a good turnout from the High Commission.

He had no idea we were throwing this for him and the expression on his face was priceless.

It was a great night to catch up with everyone.

Surprise !!

A season of farewells – Part 1

We are now coming into a period where nearly 1/3 of the A-based at the High Commission are coming to the end of their posting (that includes Tania and myself) - so between now and late February, we will be going to a few farewells.

We had our good friend from AUSAID, Russell and his wife, Tracey over for a lunch on Sunday.

We’ll miss you guys and we’re looking forward to catching up when we’re back in Canberra.

An afternoon of beer and BBQ (Indian style)

We recently were invited to a Sunday BBQ by our friends Prashant and Ayesha – they run Delhi Food Tours.

Prashant’s parents have a farm out near Faridabad which provided the perfect setting for a Sunday of beer and BBQ. The weather was perfect, the farm is a relaxing sanctuary from the chaos of Delhi and the beer went down very well.

Prashant’s father, Prem, is a bit of a BBQ expert. The Indian take on the BBQ was very tasty and went down a treat.

Here are some photos from the afternoon:

Happy Birthday Ami (21 today !!)

The other major family birthday Tania and I flew back to Australia for was Tania’s niece’s 21st.

We had a good night celebrating the occasion with family and Ami’s friends (as the photos will show).
