Welcome to my blog: this is the story of our adventures in India: the wonderful, the strange, the downright bizzare & the not-so-nice. So sit back & enjoy the ride as we take you on a journey across the sub-continent (& everywhere in-between).

Tulika’s Wedding
The other Sunday, we went to the wedding of one of Tania’s senior officers (Tulika).
Tulika is quite a lovely personality so the wedding wouldn’t be anything but vibrant & full of fun (it's a Punjabi wedding after all !!).
A lot of the DIAC A-based went & a good time was had by all.
Enjoy the photos:

Farewell to Bill
Yep!! It would seem that it’s the season of farewells.
On the 1st of December, Tania & I threw a farewell dinner for our good friend Bill (who works over at the Brits). I only met him since coming to India but Tania has known him from her days in Jordan.
We’ve had many fun times here with Bill. It’s sad to see him go.
We’ll miss ya Bill!! Tell us where you post to next & we’ll meet up there!!
Here are some photos from the evening – Tania made a few of the dishes you see here (as did our maid) & we had some help from the local “Punjabi by Nature” restaurant in Basant Lok:

Farewell High Commissioner
The staff threw a farewell bash for the High Commissioner the day before he left India.
All the staff were there to say their goodbyes & to wish him well in his new role as Secretary DFAT.
Peter – you will be missed. You've been a great boss to work for.
Here are some photos from the farewell:
